We screen against 9 international sanctions lists daily: OFAC SDN (US), EU Consolidated, UN Security Council, UK OFSI, Australia DFAT, Japan MOF, Swiss SECO, Canada, and New Zealand. Matches on unique identifiers (IMO/MMSI) are flagged as "confirmed." Name-based matches are flagged as "review required" with a full explanation of why. Every flag includes the exact sanctions list entry, match method, and plain-English explainer so your compliance team can make informed decisions.

We use AIS transponder data from multiple independent feeds, cross-referenced with SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) satellite detections. This allows us to detect vessels that have disabled their AIS transponders -- a common sanctions evasion tactic known as "going dark."

Yes. Add vessels to your watchlist and receive email or webhook alerts when they transit chokepoints, go dark (AIS silence), or are involved in STS transfers. Two alerts are always on and cannot be disabled: when a watched vessel gets newly sanctioned, and when a watched vessel conducts an STS transfer with a sanctioned vessel. These are critical compliance events that require immediate attention.
